Wrestler Entrance:
[The strings and heavy metal guitar accompanied by digitized "Oh oh oh oh!"'s of Within Temptation's "A Demon's Fate" fill the arena as the lights dim. A spotlight shines down, revealing Delilah na Kinai standing at the top of the ramp in an elegant white silken gown. A microphone in hand, she begins to sing.]
Seeing the violence
It's feeding my mind
No one is saving you
How can you find
A heaven in this hell?
[Across the arena in the crowd a second spotlight illuminates Kalinda Kriegsdottir, the big blue dragoness wearing a similar dress, but in purest black. She too has a mic and belts out her own set of lyrics with a sneer on her face.]
Hearing your silence
It screams our goodbye
Cannot believe it's an eye for an eye
Let us go to waste
I don't want to be a part of her sin
I don't want to get lost in her world
I'm not playing this game
On the wings of darkness she'll retaliate
She'll be falling from grace
Till the end of all her days
It's a cruel demon's fate
On the wings of darkness
She's returned to stay
There will be no escape
'Cause she's fallen far from grace
[Delilah has stepped forward down the ramp, her black feathered wings spread wide, her form shifts subtly, her arms and legs taking on feline characteristics, growing larger, more powerful, tearing through her elbow-length gloves and elegant high heels.
She digs her claws into the purple dress and tears it off, revealing a blue-purple cocktail dress, showing that she's standing upon her floating shield, her hammer between her feline feet.]
Is this what you wanted?
What have you become?
Your soul's not forsaken
You're walking alone
From heaven into hell
[Kalinda has moved down the stairs, approaching the ring. Her red dress dissolves, giving way to a smaller, sleeker orange cocktail dress. The red shards join the black behind her, making the illusory wings look like they're dripping with blood.]
Your way in this madness
Your powers have grown
Your chains have been broken
You've suffered so long
You will never change
I don't want to be a part of her sin
I don't want to get lost in her world
I'm not playing this game
[Delilah's face has lost it's angry expression as her tail emerges, lifting the skirt of her dress and somehow making it shatter into a million pieces that burn into nothingness, revealing a blue top and short skirt.]
On the wings of darkness she'll retaliate
She'll be falling from grace
Till the end of all her days
[Kalinda too no longer appears to be angry as she takes her turn singing. Her orange cocktail dress similarly burning away into yellow wisps, revealing an orange crop top and a short skirt. Her translucent, floating wings no longer look like they're bleeding, but more of a sunset.]
It's a cruel demon's fate
On the wings of darkness
She's returned to stay
There will be no escape
'Cause she's fallen far from grace
I been made to be a part of her sin
I've gotten lost in her world
I'll be playing this game
[The illusion of form shifting clothing is dispelled, the pair's gear returning to their standard ring attire. Two color top, fatigue pants, armored boots, and a pauldron for Kalinda, a body-hugging, midriff-revealing leather breastplate for Delilah, along with an armored leather and plate skirt and gauntlets.]
On the wings of darkness we'll retaliate
we'll be falling from grace
Till the end of all our days
It's a cruel demon's fate
On the wings of darkness
We'll now come to play
There will be no escape
'Cause we've fallen far from grace
Gimmick/Personality: Evil Disney Princess Enchantress Blacksmith Dark Elf Catgirl
Wrestler’s Strengths:
Blood of the Ancient Smith
Back home the legend of Metsuki Tahari has spread far, the Dark Elven smith who was the
final winner of the Cycle of Champions, the wish she was granted for her and her kin to be immune to damage from weaponry.
Far from her home realm, Delilah's protection has weakened. Her protection from mundane weaponry, however, is seemingly random, whereas Kalinda's is stable. There's about a 1/8th chance a blow will strike normally, a 1/4 chance that it will simply cause pain, a 1/4 chance that Delilah will outright ignore the blow, and a 1/8 chance that rather than DARE strike someone of such importance the weapon fails catastrophically, typically shattering or warping upon striking Delilah.
Her bloodline ties to such a great smith also allow her the ability to repair items, gain middling talent at using an object, learn the history or an item, or sometimes even be able to hold a conversation with the item's spirit.
Life is Combat
Delilah has been trained to fight for her life from an early age, engaging in martial arts shortly after she learned how to walk. As a result, she's not too terribly familiar with a lot of pro wrestling moves, so her counters tend towards the short, simple, and brutal. In a stand-up brawl, she can take on just about anyone and win.
She's not going to do a two-minute sequence of back and forth counters, or alternating pinfalls. But what she will do is counter anything that can be countered with a punch to the face with a punch to the face. Or if it's deathmatch rules, putting her teeth or claws to use. Though actually, she doesn't punch, she always chops or palm strikes.
Similarly, she has a bit of disdain for overly flashy and showy moves, especially high flying ones. And will simply avoid them by walking away and shaking her head, ala Samoa Joe.
Matriarch Enchantress
Born of the highest Dark Elf Caste, a Matriarch has a mastery of 1-3 of the innate magics offered to Dark Elvenkind, though Delilah's is unfortunately Enchanting. It lacks the explosive power of Evocation and the sheer utility of Transmutation, as mental warding is something that most folks prioritize when becoming adventurers or political figures on Tatheon.
Though she would claw your tongue out for speaking just a horrible falsehood, as an Enchantress, Delilah is basically an archetypical Disney Princess mixed with the Jack-of-All-Trades type Bard.
Except that the animals she can communicate with and control tend to be the ones most humans find unsettling and creepy (invertebrates, reptiles, and amphibeans mostly).
Her magic isn't really the sort that's good during a fight, but rather for leading up to a fight or after it.
She gets around this by crafting charms and rune sigils that she uses to depower her foes and empower her allies.
Though the fact that people are paying to see competitive matches wherein the participants aren't made to lay down like placid lambs and have their throats slit limits her somewhat.
She's managed to make use of a small handful of her abilities that can be used in a pro wrestling environment.
Paragon of Strong Style
Though she doesn't know it, Delilah fits in perfectly with the Japanese Strong Style way of fighting. Hitting hard, trading blows, and showing your fighting spirit by overcoming moves that should put you away by screaming in rage.
Wrestler’s Weaknesses:
What's a wrist lock?
Delilah isn't familiar at all with many professional wrestling moves. As a result, her repertoire of submissions is somewhat limited to MMA chokes and joint holds, and the more out there maneuvers she just doesn't know how to react to.
She's going to get out of a figure four simply by powering out of it, digging her claws into someone's thigh, or just striking them in the face. She's not going to think to turn it over.
Her counters to most non-strikes tend to follow the thought process of: "Can I power out of it or shove the guy away? Can I hit them in the face or groin? Can I spit Poison Mist at them and make them go away?" With the occasional "Oh, hey, I can stab this Charm into a rather uncomfortable place from here."
Strikes are the one thing she's good at countering, though, as she has Asuka-like reflexes to turn slaps or cheap shots into arm or leg bars.
Stubborn Ass
While not grossly overconfident Delilah feels that she can take on pretty much anyone or anything on even footing and come out ahead. As a result she won't hesitate to keep charging into things as she's sure if if she can open enough cuts and stick enough charms on someone, they'll go down.
The Starfire Award For Strangest Dialect
English is not her first, second, or third language. Elven basically combines the worst parts of English, Gaelic, and Chinese to the point where there are several tiers of the language that take centuries to master.
As a result Delilah seems to have problems with metaphors, similes, and anecdotes. Particularly the fact that hers have no remote resemblance to anything present in the English language, and seem to quite frequently involve spiders or insects.
She understands English just fine, but making herself understood is somewhat of a challenge at times.
She seems to have the Russian habit of dropping articles entirely (the/a/an).
Physical Appearance: "Amazonian" is a word that easily describes Delilah. As a Dark Elf the male/female gender dynamic is reversed. So elven males are shorter than the females as well as being less muscled.
Delilah is strong and heavily built for her caste (Matriarch By Birth), the Kinai Clan Totem of the Dire Snow Leopard also granting her a larger build with enhanced agility suited for a feline predator.
Her feline Clan Totem also manifests as feline fangs, ears, paws, claws, a fluffy tail, and spotted fur from the elbows and knees on down.
And also four breasts, which seems to be a generally consistent thing across Kinai Clan female castes. Six and eight also occur, but two is rare, as Dark Elves generally have twins.
Her skin is midline gray that marks her as being especially pale for a Dark Elf (akin to a human being porcelain white), and her long hair is snow white. Her irises are red and feline slitted.
Her body is adorned with various demonic-looking tattoos that enhance her magical power and these carry over even to her feline fur.
Foremost of her tattoos is a pair of runic wings drawn upon her shoulder blades which allow her to summon or banish a pair of black feathered wings at will. Unlike her feline aspects, which she can suppress with some discomfort, the presence or absence of wings does not cause discomfort.
Ring Attire: Delilah tends to wear leather gauntlets, greaves, midriff-revealing back and breast leather armor, and a leather and plate skirt.
Regular Attire: Most of Delilah's outfits are armor with the illusion of being another garment, which she changes at will. As a result, everything she wears tends to look tailored to be perfectly suited to her body.
She'll wear whatever would be most favorably looked upon in the current social situation. But usually, when just hanging out she'll be wearing a t-shirt and shorts, regardless of temperature. As she is of the Snow Leopard Totem, she resists cold and her demonic tattoos make her heat resistant.
But she'll wear anything from sleek and sexy dresses and strappy heels made for her feline feet to a suit and tie. She does have a general dislike of closed toe shoes, however, as it means she'll be unable to use her foot-claws in a fight.
Weapons of Choice: Smithing Hammer, her shield, barbed darts, small crossbows, dart gun, bag of holding containing mystery critters
Finishing Moves and description:
Aimhax Buster: Shield Charge followed up with a turn and a mule kick to the groin and finished off with a pinning vertebreaker. So named because Delilah doesn't even look for the kick, the grab, or the pin. She just tends to stand up slightly and sit on her opponent's backside.
Signature Moves and description:
Alluring Snake Dance: This allows Delilah to serve as a fascinating distraction, or to allow for Charm/Hypnosis-like effects (ala CHIKARA wrestler Ophidian), that can range from making her opponents to a silly dance to momentarily turn on their allies.
Carapace Totem: The Dark Elves' innate totem is that of the Carapace Queen, goddess of anything with an exoskeleton. The totem is the reason as to why their skin is black. This manifests in varying ways, but for Delilah it allows her to essentially use the classic Poison Mist in all its rainbow of colors and effects.
Charms of Discord: Delilah uses a small barbed dart or bolt to secure a strip of cloth marked with arcane runes to some portion of her opponent's anatomy which (in RPG terms) would sap their Strength, Dexterity/Agility, or Constitution/Endurance/Stamina.
The charm itself cannot be torn, and the bolt is sturdy, the only way to remove it is to literally yank out the barbed bolt, enlarging the wound and causing it to bleed.
Delilah will apply these by simply stabbing, or sometimes by using a small crossbow or dart gun.
Critter Drop: Delilah will pull a singular, large creature about the size of a largish cat or smaller from her bag of holding and drop it on her foes. Be it a giant cockroach, scorpion, worm, snake, lizard, frog, salamander, bee, wasp, tarantula, rat, ambulatory slime/ooze, or some other such non-sentient starter RPG monster. For the most part the creatures have a puppy-like mentality and are actually trying to play, but Delilah's opponents don't know that.
Destructive Testing: Usually done with a folding chair, Delilah will repeatedly bludgeon her opponent with it until the chair is bent out of shape, restore it to full condition, and then sit on it on top of her battered opponent.
Fall From Grace: Schwein / White Noise
Floofinator: SOS/Ranhei with Delilah having her big fluffy tail wrapped around ther opponent's face.
Hit the Triangle: Diving Thrust Kick to the "triangle of death" area a sniper generally aims for.
NOT THE BEES!: Delilah will summon a swarm of something unpleasant and horrible to sick on her opponent. Usually it's simple, fat, fuzzy bumblebees, but if she's feeling really pissy it'll be winged spiders or scorpions. Yes, she has those.
Shield Charge: Delilah runs at her foe, slamming her shield into their midsection with enough force to lift them off and ground and continue running until she impacts them with some sort of obstacle, typically a wall or ring corner. Can also be done without the shield.
Smirk Scrubber: Go 2 Sleep.
Spider Smasher: Ki Krusher
Totemic Rune Sigils: Delilah can channel her magic into physical attribute enhancing "buffs" for herself, or her allies.
-Totem of Ancient Strength
Grants the subject enhanced strength and combat prowess. Turns Delilah from simply strong into ridiculous John Cena levels of strength.
Delilah: Raptor (Tail thickens, hunched posture, gains sickle claws on feet)
Claudia: Dire Lion (Gains fuzzy limbs like Delilah, cat ears, a mane, and saberteeth)
Kalinda: Snow Carnifex (Gains fuzzy limbs like Delilah, tail fluff, large thumb and big toe claws, and a muzzle full of teeth that would make the Jaws of Life wet themselves)
-Totem of Ancient Speed
Generally not so useful in a pro wrestling ring where the confines are close and one cannot get up to speed, but it does allow for more acrobatic maneuvers to be used.
Delilah: Dire Cheetah (Goes from nekomimi to full-on feline anthro, gains a small muzzle and cheetah "tear" marks)
Claudia: Dire Jackal (Gains fuzzy limbs, jackal ears, and Egyptian eye makeup)
Kalinda: Nightmare (Gain equine ears, hooves, digits merge and enlarge going from 5 to 3, aura of blue coldfire)
Totem of Ancient Endurance:
Rather than hitting harder, this allows one to be hit harder for longer without sufferring as much damage.
Delilah: Dragon (Replace fuzzy with scaly, gains horns, head frill, dragon tail, allowing for tail moves like Kalinda and Claudia use, acidic venom breath weapon)
Claudia: Huayangosaurus (Gains claws, fangs, scaly limbs, thagomizer on tail, shoulder spines, spine-mounted dermal plates)
Kalinda: Godzillasaurus (Gains claws, fangs, scaly limbs, thagomizer on tail, Godzilla spine-mounted dermal plants)
Vicious Mockery: Due to her capacity for sorcery, and as much as she's loathe to admit it, her bardic nature, Delilah can actually deliver a pun or insult that is literally physically painful.
